NEW Visitor Management System

As part of Gwinnett County Public Schools’ focus on safety our school is proud to have implemented a visitor management system.  This system, which requires visitors to be “buzzed” into the school is intended to enhance the safety and security of both students and staff by establishing greater door control at the primary entrances to the school.

As we implement this new measure of safety we want to share some additional information on how this system works and how you can help us maintain the integrity of the system.

  1. All entrances are open and allow students to enter and leave the school during normal arrival, dismissal, and class change times. At these times it is not necessary to use the bell button to enter the building.
  2. Once the school day begins, our doors will be locked. Visitors will need to ring the bell button on the visitor management system panel located on the wall near the far right hand doors at the front of the school and an office staff member will assist them.
  3. Upon ringing the bell an office staff member will verbally greet you and ask how they can help you.

You can do your part to help keep our campus safe by doing the following:

  • If someone is entering or exiting as you approach, please do not enter the open door. Please wait for the door to close and then press the bell button so the office staff can assist you.
  • When our office staff verbally asks how they can help you, please clearly state your name and the purpose of your visit (checking out your student, meeting with a counselor, dropping something off, etc).

Thank you for your support and patience as we adopt this new tool to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
