The Graduation ceremony for the Class of 2018 will be at 8:00 P.M. on 5/23/18, at the Mill Creek Community Stadium on Markham Field.   Graduates should arrive no later than 6:00pm, and parents may be seated beginning at 6:00pm. Please know that every effort will be made to hold the ceremony in the stadium.

Please do not bring balloons, beach balls, Fat heads, cow bells, air horns, or any other disruptive noise making devices or items that could block or impede the view of others.  This is a formal ceremony not a sporting event and we ask that everyone be respectful of the occasion.

Students may NOT DECORATE their cap in any way.  This includes cap toppers.

Graduation Practice:   Attendance at graduation practice is mandatory for students to participate in the graduation ceremony. Practice is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on 5/23/18 in the Commons. Students do not have to dress up for practice; it would be practical for seniors to wear shorts and a shirt.  Practice will take between 2 to 3 hours.  Students must make arrangements to attend practice and be present for the entire practice. If any emergency arises to prevent a student from attending practice, contact Mrs. Gross immediately in room B213.   Students who do not practice will not march.

The concession stand will be open selling water and sodas.  The money will go to the athletic department.  No coolers are allowed inside the gate.

Graduation Seating:  Seating is first come first serve.  We will have some handicap seating.  The handicap seating is the top row before you go down the steps in the stadium, and you will need to bring your own chair or wheelchair.    Only the handicap member will be allowed to sit in this area, but you can sit below them or above them on available bleachers.  Gates will open at 6:00pm for family members to come in and find a seat.  We are live streaming the graduation this year, so this maybe a better options for some grandparents.

Graduation Tickets:  Each senior will receive 10 tickets for the ceremony.  All patrons who attend the ceremony, regardless of age, must have a ticket.  We have very strict fire codes.  If you need more tickets, then have your senior start to ask their friends if they plan to use all their tickets.  We will have a number of seniors only use 3 to 4, so I know extra tickets are out there.  Tickets will be handed out to the seniors at graduation practice for security reasons.

DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION:  At the conclusion of the ceremony, students are to report to the rear of the gym to receive their diplomas.  Only faculty and members of the Class of 2018 will be allowed in this area after graduation.  There will be no exceptions. Parents and guests may wait for seniors at the top of the hill leading to the back of the gym.

No one is allowed on the football field after the ceremony!  You must meet your senior after they pick up their diploma.

Where Can I find my Senior after Graduation?  Parents please have a plan on where to meet your senior after they pick up their diploma.  Seniors will not have their phones, so a planned meeting place is necessary.  We have many spots to meet your senior;  flag pole, ticket booth, front of school, field house, steps from parking lot, side entrance of school, etc...
